How it helped/did not help you retain written material better than silent reading.

The instructions were easier than I expected. I was able to set this up in about an hour and actually listened to instruction’s being read to me for another class. It is awesome! I can’t believe I didn’t know about this feature before. It makes me think what other features are on my computer that would make life easier.

I  finally learned how to do a screen shot.

Week #4 Librarian Helpdesk

The experience with chatting on- line with a librarian has been a most positive one. Thanks to Sadie in Eugene  and Valry King @ OSU library I am making progress in my research of Jerri DeVard, Woman Business Marketing Owner. They were able to give me more current web addresses to research my topic. I am in the process of researching any articles I can find on Ms.DeVards accomplishments and hopefully a contact e-mail address.Researching on my own was not giving me the information I felt I needed to complete my project.I did find a few journal articles but they all had the same basic information.

My research subject: Jerri Devard, Senior Vice President of brand management and marketing for Verizon Wireless.

Who is she? Jerri L. DeVard has been Principal of DeVard Marketing Group since 2007. Ms. DeVard served as the Senior Vice President of Retail Markets Group of Verizon Enhanced Communities. She is responsible for national marketing, advertising, brand management, online marketing and multicultural marketing. She served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management of Verizon Communications Inc. from 2003 to 2005.

Where is she from? Atlanta,Georgia

What is her technology? She is responsible for national marketing, advertising, brand management, online marketing and multicultural marketing.

When did she live? Ms Devard is living in the present in the age of Technology and Gender Politics.It would be interesting to hear her views on Gender in Technology.

Write about the possibility of interviewing the women if she is still living?

I will try to communicate with Ms.Devard and hopfully be successful .I am not sure what steps I will take at this point but as I research her I should be able to find a contact point.
